Published: April 8, 2026 Updated: April 8, 2026

Every month, the employees at Strategic Communications are given the opportunity to acknowledge exemplary colleagues within or outside their department. Three individuals were chosen by their coworkers for their commitment to customer service, perseverance in the face of challenges, and can-do attitudes!

  • When did you start working for Strategic Communications?
    March 24th, 2025 – and it’s been a great year!
  • What is your favorite project that you’ve worked on at Strategic?
Any project that gives me an excuse to make a spreadsheet is my favorite.
  • What does your dream vacation look like?
My dream vacation would be anywhere that has a beach & an ocean – I’ve travelled a little and lived in three different states, but I’ve never seen the ocean. So I really want to mark that one off my bucket list.
  • Who is your favorite musical artist, and what was the first concert you attended?
Favorite musical artist is a tough one – I listen to just about everything and I’m constantly looking for new music. My favorite artist I found this year would probably be Jared Benjamin or Jessie Reyes. My first concert was seeing Shaggy in Indianapolis during the “Hot Summer Nights” tour a few years ago.
  • How would your family, friends, or coworkers describe you in three words?
I couldn’t think of an answer – so I asked Ronitra Elliott. Her three-word choice: Resilient, High Spirited & Joyfully-Sarcastic.
  • What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book that you’d like to share with the world?
The audio book that Matthew McConaughey did for his book Greenlights is phenomenal and I refuse to believe otherwise.

Customer Success Manager

  • When did you start working for Strategic Communications?
I started working at Strategic Communications a year and a half ago.
  • What is your favorite project that you’ve worked on at Strategic?
Maryland Transit Administration’s app modernization project. They have a small team but still want to make sure they’ve leveraging the power of building applications for AWS instead of how they’ve always existed on-prem. I love supporting customers who want help to do things the best way and not just the easiest
  • What does your dream vacation look like?
I first planned to go to Italy and Belgium in late-2020, until it was derailed by the obvious. Should finally be able to make the trip next year (Kathy, consider this my very, very early PTO request). Italy because that’s where my mom’s family is from, and Belgium because my favorite beers in the world are from Trappist monasteries.
  • What is the best career lesson you've learned so far?
The best career lesson I've learned so far is the importance of taking ownership. Whether a project succeeds or faces challenges, owning my responsibilities—and even mistakes—builds trust, shows integrity, and leads to real growth. It’s helped me stay accountable and proactive in everything I do.
  • Who is your favorite musical artist, and what was the first concert you attended?
Rush! I have fond memories of riding around in my dad’s work van listening to Freewill and Tom Sawyer as a child. They were the first band I saw live as well in 2007 or 08. I think I saw them about 8-9 times before they stopped touring.
  • How would your family, friends, or coworkers describe you in three words?
    Meticulous, thoughtful, hilarious
  • What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book that you’d like to share with the world?
It ended in 2023, but Succession is arguably the best written television of the last 10 years.
