February 2026 Employees of the Month

Published: March 17, 2026 Updated: March 17, 2026

Every month, the employees at Strategic Communications are given the opportunity to acknowledge exemplary colleagues within or outside their department. Three individuals were chosen by their coworkers for their commitment to customer service, perseverance in the face of challenges, and can-do attitudes!

Amanda Brant-Christopher

  • When did you start working for Strategic Communications?
I started working at Strategic Communications in October 2023.
  • What is the best career lesson you've learned so far?
Be kind and motivate others! We spend just as much time together as we do with our families so make someone have a great day! Also have passion for the work you do!
  • What is the one thing, you can’t live without
    My kids and a margarita!
  • What has been your biggest accomplishment on our team?
Building out our partner team and getting some great momentum with key partners
  • If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Celine Dion because she brings back great living room singing memories of my mother!

  • What do you do to get rid of stress?
I have 30 second dance parties, my kitchen lights and office lights are synced to music!
  • What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years?
    Who turned on the lights?
  • If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Preferably back home, Pacific Grove or anywhere on the beach.
  • What’s the best way to start the day?
The best part of waking up is Folger’s in your cup. Although, the best way to start the day is getting out of bed.
  • Favorite ice cream flavor?
Vanilla, it goes with everything. Who wants chocolate ice cream with peaches, eww!

  • When did you start working for Strategic Communications?
I've been working at Strategic since December 2025.
  • What was your background prior to working for Strategic Communications?
I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Public Relations, then went on to work as a social media & marketing coordinator for a midsized pest control company located in the southeast. I moved to Kentucky June 2025 and finally found my way to Strategic a couple of months later.
  • What aspect of your job do you find most rewarding or fulfilling?
I genuinely enjoy helping others in any way I can. If I can find a way to make sure everyone has what they need, when they need it, I’ll do it. I also love being creative and telling the full story of the brand I’m working with.
  • What is the best career lesson you've learned so far?
You can’t control how people or systems value you, but you can choose where you put your energy. Life gets easier when you stop chasing validation and start aligning yourself with people who appreciate you and environments that use your strengths.
  • Outside of work, what are you passionate about/enjoy doing?
Exploring Louisville with my husband and spending time with my dog and 2 cats. I also enjoy reading, crocheting, and the occasional 'cozy game'.
  • What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book that you’d like to share with the world?
A current show I'm watching is the reality game show 'The Traitors'. One of my favorite books ever is 'Animal Farm'.
  • What is something (a hobby, cool family fact/experience, skill, or story) that people may not know about you?
I grew up flying standby thanks to my dad being a pilot for Delta Air Lines. Before I lost my flight benefits, my dad and I took one last adventure together - 24 hours in Banff. We flew into Calgary (after somehow snagging seats on a flight out of Atlanta with negative seats available - a feat in itself) and drove straight to Banff. Seeing the Canadian Rockies for the first time is something I’ll never forget, and the crystal-blue water of Lake Louise in person was unreal. In just one day we squeezed in a hike up to the Lake Agnes Tea House for tea and rode the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Being able to experience all of that with my dad made it even more special.
