Labor Day, September 2 – Our offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day. On this day, celebrated each year on the first Monday of September, we honor and recognize the American labor movement and contributions of American workers to the achievements of the United States. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 3rd.
National Respect Day, September 18 – There are no rules for how to celebrate but the focus of this day is being more attentive to loved ones and treating people with kindness or politeness. We earn respect by being respectable. Be a good listener. Accept responsibility. We all make mistakes and taking responsibility for wrongdoing is better than casting blame. Apologize, attempt to fix the issue and move forward. Doing the right thing isn’t always easy but a little effort can go a long way to inspire others.
Busy Season Lunches – They’re back! Join us at HQ every Wednesday through the end of September for our busy season lunches. Please make sure you have RSVP’d to hr_strategic@yourstrategic.com. For our remote folks, we’ll be providing credits to DoorDash so you can stay fed and fueled too.
Fun Fridays – To help us all push through federal year-end, our Fun Friday theme days are back. Themes will be: We’ve Got Spirit (Wear Your Favorite Team – 09/06), Feeling Beachy (09/13), We Rock (Wear Your Favorite Band/Music Artist – 09/20), Twinning! (Pick a co-worker or two and dress up similar – 09/27). Plan to meet on the 2nd floor at 4 pm each Friday for a photo opportunity!
